Everyday, we run across someone who has found another use for SPOT. Today we shine the light on TripSailor – a free blogging community for Sailors that uses SPOT shared pages to update Tripsailor sailing blogs. The blogs make it easy to connect with others using photos, videos, maps, and of course, SPOT. Connecting your SPOT with your Tripsailor blog is easy, and a Tripsailor account is free. To use SPOT with Tripsailor, follow their simple directions: http://help.tripsailor.com/index.php?id=spotmessenger

I constantly run across folks that tell me different ways they use there SPOT Satellite Messenger. Recently a Diver that dives off the coast of U.S. and other international countries said he likes to tie his SPOT while in tracking mode to his floating bouy so that his family and friends know exactly where he is diving. Great Idea!

Similar application for motorcycle riders has been developed. It has been put to good use for many trips. Look up http://jasonjonas.org/spot/about.jsp
